Photo on the Zugspitze which is the highest peak in Germany (2963 metres) in the Bavarian Alps and can be reached from Garmisch-Partenkirchen either by railway and/or cablecar.
Licensed over 30 years, now aged 67, but interested from schooldays. Activities include HF and VHF as time permits, on SSB and Data modes (RTTY, SSTV and PSK), often in contests either from home Qth or with club out portable. Long-time member of The Melton Mowbray Amateur Radio Society (MMARS), club callsigns G4FOX and G7FOX. Member of RSGB (Radio Society of Great Britain) and Radio Amateur Emergency Network (RAEN and Raynet).
